Gestüt Lünzen
Gestüt Lünzen is located in the heart of the Lüneburger Heide — a place where horse breeding is not only practised but also lived. What once began as a 2-man business has developed over the past 10 years into a professional location for thoroughbred breeding and horse husbandry.
Right from the start, we focused on one thing in particular: meeting the needs of horses.
With decades of experience in various areas of breeding, keeping and training thoroughbreds at home and abroad, Nikolas Schenke and Thomas Witt founded the Lünzen stud in the Heidedorf of Lünzen near Schneverdingen in 2015.
In the beginning, the range of services was broad. From general care for broodmares to specialized “troubleshooting” for behavioural sport horses from various disciplines.
With the arrival of the breeding stallions “Accon” and “Best Solution” in 2021, the team concentrated on the classic services of a stallion and breeding stud farm.
After successful decking seasons with Accon and Best Solution, it was decided to set up more stallions at the stud farm in 2024.
With “Millowitsch” and “Waldgeist”, two more top-class players bought boxes at the Lünzen stud.
We have constantly developed to ensure that horses are cared for at a high level. We have now grown from 10 ha of grassland to 85 ha of grassland and 30 ha of arable land.
With modern machinery, hay and straw can be harvested independently and with high quality.
Since we work closely with veterinarians, farriers and feed manufacturers, we are always able to respond individually to the needs of the horses entrusted to us.
We will continue to work on improving ourselves in the future, always with the aim of:
Success with fairness!
